National Awareness Phase

More than 800 units of greywater collection and distributions were installed in 90 villages in 11 of Jordan Governorates. People trained in the installation and maintenance of the units and in how to make the best use of the installations. Local NGO and CBOs who are able to promote the installation and proper use of grey water units. Local Government Officers understand the operation, advantages and possible restrictions of the use of greywater. Research carried out into practical improvements in re-use of greywater systems. Information on the effect of using greywater was collected and analyzed in order to ensure that non harmful use is made of this resource. Dialogue with concerned Authorities is instigated in order to allow promotion of the concept of greywater use to continue and develop in a cooperative and participatory manner.
